【サンルイ《ツイスト 1586》】至福のテイスティングを愉しむ

パリにて自ら蒸溜所を主宰するニコラ・ジュレスとともに開発された。サンルイ工房の技術とスピリッツ専門家の知識が生み出した逸品である。The development was carried out in collaboration with Nicolas Julhès, who runs his own distillery in Paris. （English follows）1586年創業のサンルイは、ヨーロッパ大陸最古のクリスタルメゾンである。そんな名門の《ツイスト 1586》コレクションから、スピリッツ専用のテイスティング・セットをご紹介しよう。

 

　クリスタル製のデキャンタと3つのグラスの組み合わせだ。グラスは8年未満の若いスピリッツ用（ウォッカ、ジンなど）、8年超の熟成したスピリッツ用（ブランデー、熟成ウイスキー）、そして酒精強化ワイン用（ポート、マディラ～日本酒、焼酎）となっている。

 

　それぞれのグラスの形状は、各々の酒の個性を引き出すよう工夫されているのだ。グラスの内側を輝く液体が伝い落ち、美しい「足」を描くさまを楽しみたい。

 

 

 

　Founded in 1586, Saint-Louis is one of the oldest glassworks in France. From this prestigious maison comes the Twist 1586 collection, now featuring a tasting set designed specifically for spirits.

 

　The set includes a crystal decanter and three distinct glasses. Each glass is tailored to a different category of spirits: one for young spirits under eight years (such as vodka and gin), another for aged varieties over eight years (like brandy or matured whisky), and a third for fortified wines (ranging from port and Madeira to sake and shochu).

 

　The shape of each glass is designed to enhance the unique characteristics of its respective drink. As the shimmering liquid trickles down the inner surface of the glass, one can admire the beautiful “legs” it leaves behind.
