SPIKE LEE（スパイク・リー）が着る革新のウェア

アメリカの映画監督・脚本家スパイク・リーは、鋭い視点で社会問題を描く作品で知られており、代表作には『ドゥ・ザ・ライト・シング』がある。

　（English follows）1982年にイタリアのモデナ県ラヴァリーノで創業したストーンアイランドは、リサーチと素材の開発実験を繰り返し、革新的な素材使いや高度な染色技術、ミリタリーやワークの要素を取り入れたプロダクトデザインとウェアで成長を遂げたブランドだ。こちらの「ピエトラ」ブルゾンは、超軽量のコットンモスリンに透明のポリウレタンフィルムをボンディング。特殊な樹脂に浸透させた後にガーメントダイしているため、モスリンは不均一に染色され、プリズム状のポリウレタンフィルムを介して砂漠の石のような独特の模様が生まれることから、「ピエトラ（イタリア語で石）」と命名された。着用しているのは、ブランドの古くからのファン、スパイク・リーだ。

 

 

Founded in 1982 in Ravarino, Modena, StoneIsland has grown through continuous researchand innovation. The brand is renowned for its innovative use of materials, advanced dyeing techniques and military and workwear-inspired designs. The ‘Pietra’ blouson is made from ultra-lightweight cotton muslin bonded with a transparent polyurethane film. A special resin is applied before the garment is dyed, causing uneven colouration. Seen through the prism-like polyurethane film, the fabric resembles desert stone, inspiring the name ‘Pietra’, the Italian for ‘stone’. Here, it is worn by Spike Lee, a long-time fan of the brand.
